PADI Basic Freediver

Course overview

Whether you have previous diving experience or not, the PADI Basic Freediver Course will introduce you to an entirely new world underwater. This course will cover the fundamental theory of freediving and teach you the basics of confined water (usually pool) and open water freediving in the breathtaking Pacific Ocean. PADI Basic Freediver course is an excellent choice for those who are new to freediving or want to gain certification in just one day.

About the course

  • Minimum age – 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with parent or guardian consent)
  • Maximum depth – Free Immersion and Constant Weight. Safety and Buddying. Dives will be at 10m maximum depth.
  • Prerequisites – Able to swim at least 100m non-stop
  • Knowledge development time – 1-2 hours
  • Confined water time (swimming pool) – 1.5-2 hours
  • Open water sessions – 1
  • Course duration – 1 day
  • Open water dive location – Daku Island
  • Certification – PADI Basic Freediver Certification

What to Bring

It is recommended that you visit a doctor before you go scuba diving, particularly if you plan on taking a course.

You can hire equipment from us or you can bring your own freediving equipment. Check with your airline about any extra charges for sports equipment before flying.

We have a variety of masks but we always recommend bringing your own if you have one that fits your face.
